Vermont AIRS hosts an annual spring training conference and collaborates with AIRS and other Affiliates to ensure that our members have regional and national opportunities for professional development, training and support.
Certification
Certified Information & Referral Specialist (CIRS), Certified Information and Referral
Specialist – Aging (CIRS-A), and Certified Resource Specialist (CRS) are professional credentials awarded internationally by the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems to individuals who successfully complete the AIRS Certification Program. Certification is an acknowledgment of demonstrated competence in the field of I&R.
The AIRS Certification Program identifies specific competencies and related performance criteria, which describe the knowledge, skills, attitudes and work-related behaviors needed by I&R/A specialists.
Vermont AIRS hosts the AIRS certification exams annually. AIRS certification exams are also offered at the New England I&R Training Conference, AIRS National Conference, and other locations nationwide throughout the year.
